A course designed to support ASB practitioners that are responsible for conducting case reviews with the most up to date information and techniques on structuring reviews and creating action plans.
THREE HOURS LEARNING TIME
Effective ASB Case Supervision
At the heart of an effective ASB service will be an effective and meaningful case review process that ensures cases are progressed appropriately and that risk is managed. For the case officer, it acts as an opportunity to seek additional support and to benefit from alternative thoughts. This course aims to give supervisors/managers who conduct case reviews the opportunity to explore how best to structure these sessions, the areas to focus on and how to create effective action plans.
Specifically, learners will explore:
- The principles and importance of regular case reviews
- How to best prepare for a case review
- The discussion points for the case review meeting, with a focus on policy compliance, victim risk and case progression
- Creating effective action plans
We engaged Janine’s team to deliver tools and powers training to our neighbourhood police teams, based on a recommendation from our partners. The feedback from the teams was very complimentary. They felt that use of practical examples really improved their understanding and confidence.
