Delivered by Katy Anderson, this course will consider the principles underpinning effective partnerships, focussing upon what it truly means in practice, including identifying partners and the golden rules to information sharing. It will also explore conducting partnership meetings and how to avoid them becoming a ‘talking shop’. Often cited as one of the elements of ASB management that can breakdown, the course will also explore some of the common challenges and some practical solutions in overcoming these.

Who is this training for? All front-line officers, whether working in Housing, Local Authority or Policing, as well as line managers wishing to benchmark their current approach with best practice.

Specifically, learners will explore;

  • Why partnership working is so important and what can go wrong when we don’t achieve it
  • What partnership working means behind the buzzword – what are the key components?
  • Identifying the key partners in an ASB case and what role they may play
  • Engaging partners and building relationships
  • The foundations of effective information sharing – when we are allowed to share information, with who and what? The data protection principles and information sharing agreements.
  • Effective partnership meetings – how to avoid these becoming ‘talking shops’ and making sure there is accountability, action and professional challenge.
  • Overcoming common challenges
